Character Interview: A Moment With Christopher Cutty

I am happy to have techno-wizard, Christopher Cutty, a member of the Legion, and a Shift mind you, here to talk about himself. Let's get to know him a little bit.

What is your greatest regret?

Never trying to become a basketball player. My parents were all about grades and my studies. Thanks to them I’m brilliant, but I feel like I missed out on a lot in life.

What is in your refrigerator right now? Bedroom floor? Nightstand? Garbage can?

Definitely not very much. I think some ketchup, lunch meat, and beer. My bedroom is a mess. I’m not a very clean person. Just way to busy with lab work and such.

What do you want from life?

To have a little fun. Everyone takes life so seriously. If you don’t have fun what’s the point.

What are you most proud of about your life?

I’m pretty proud of my status in the scientific community. Not to toot my own horn, but I would say that I’m pretty much a genus. Ladies love it!

What do you wish your special talent was?

I wish I was that guy that really knew how to hit the right spots when having sex with a chick. Don’t get me wrong, I can hold my own. But with everything that’s going on down there sometimes you tend to miss a few spots.

Is one sense more highly developed than another?

That’s a good question. I think I’m more a visual type of guy. Nothing Miss Cleo about me. If I see it, I can do it and believe in it.

What really moves you, or touches you to the soul?

I’m really moved when I see a really hot chick in a tight business suit. Not sure if that touches my soul per se, but it definitely moves certain parts of my anatomy.

What is your current state of mind?

Even though I might sound like a tool, I am really concerned about the current events affecting the planet. This so-called wave has changed everything we’ve ever known about life. I just hope the world is ready for it.

What is it that you most dislike?

People who think they are smarter than they really are. Come on guys, I can outwit the best. Well everyone except Max. He’s pretty damn intelligent.

Bio: Christopher Cummings was born to a politicians' family in Washington D.C., which came with perks and short comings. He was an only child and because of that he was given just about anything he ever wanted. After his birth, the doctor told his parents they could no longer conceive. Both were power-driven and terribly ambitious. They decided to have children later in life to prevent distraction on the climb to the top. This fact was not lost on Chris for most of his life. He felt the emotional distance from both of them. There were no traditional family holidays, no birthday parties, and definitely no family dinners around the table. In fact, by the time he was in his teens, he barely saw much of his parents at all. His father was a senator in Washington and his mother was a political consultant for the White House. Chris felt that they treated both jobs with more love and tenderness than was ever afforded to him. Because of the general lack of attention and love he received growing up, he was constantly in trouble. He was shipped to boarding school so he wouldn't be too much of a spectacle in the news.

This was the desired result.

Chris’s one saving grace with his parents was his intelligence. He was one of the most gifted students that they had ever known. In fact, he tested off the scales. He graduated from MIT at the age of 13. He also received double doctorates in anatomy and computer science. Years later, Chris decided to become a college professor. In his opinion, he could kill two birds with one stone. He could ultimately stick it to his parents: they wanted him to work in the White House, and he could scam on college girls (considering he was around the same age as they were).

While teaching at the university, Chris befriended an individual by the name of Maximus Curton. He was also a professor at the university and seemed to share a common bond with Chris. One day at the lab, Chris was working with an experimental new treatment using nanotechnology in conjunction human cells. Just when he had opened the container and exposed the contents, he suddenly felt a sharp, blinding pain in his head. With out warning, everything went black and he passed out. When he awoke he had cut himself in several places and the contents of the vial had leaked on to his open skin. At first he didn't know what to think. The genius inside him automatically went to work computing the risks and complications that he might undergo. But that had never happened before. He would soon realize that he was part of a bigger picture. And his power and his future were intertwined with Maximus.
